October marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and while it’s often linked to pink ribbons, there’s so much more to it. For many, this month can be a reminder of the challenges they’ve faced, and for some, it might even feel overwhelming.
Breast Cancer Awareness means different things to different people. For some, it’s a time to reflect on their own journey, while for others, it’s a chance to show support for the millions of women worldwide affected by the disease.
It’s important to understand the campaign’s goals and the mixed emotions surrounding it. Whether you choose to take part or not, it’s all about showing support in a way that feels right to you.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a global effort every October to:
🎗 The 1st of October also sees Bless Community Support launch its cancer-specific support programme, offering weekly sessions designed to help you relax, reduce stress and anxiety, and manage pain. These sessions are open to anyone impacted by cancer and aim to provide a safe space for support and holistic wellbeing. We’ll be celebrating our opening with refreshments, cakes and more!
Join us then weekly on Tuesdays' 9.00am - 2.30pm from 8th October for a supportive programme of sessions including our bi-weekly “Bless Our Boobs” sessions which will include open conversation in our relaxing cafe space, special guest speakers and wellbeing practices to soothe and nourish the mind and body.
