Successful Open Day for Little Buds @‌Bless Eco-Allotment Space

We were thrilled to announce the grand opening of our eco-allotment space and overwhelmed to see such a fabulous turn out for this special space to be officially opened by our partners National Highways and Octavious last week.

Friends, family, community, volunteers and the amazing team that assisted in getting this fantastic project off the ground came along to celebrate the opening of our eco-allotment. Face painting, bug hotel building, insect hunting and kids planting happened, whilst families enjoyed being sat outside in our purpose built space with a cuppa and piece of cake.

A grand unveiling of our partners sign - a dedicated reminder for all who come to use this special space of the generosity of the people who assisted in its' launch.

We give special thanks to all at National Highways and Octavious for without their hard work and dedication this project would just not have happened. To Angie our allotment officer from Upton Parish Council and to each and every partner who generously gave items needed for it all to get going. Additional thanks also go out to Village warden Paul Wilson and Kyle for dedicating their spare time to getting the allotment ready for our opening, Scott Green, Angie & Barry Cannon for the support they constantly give Bless, Steve Spencer for the beautiful flower display's and Brad Ellis for the Little Buds logo design.

It was clear to see on the open day that this space will make a huge difference to our community and the families here. Tears were shed at the immediate responses from our kids who were able to be in nature, digging, planting and learning about growing fruit and vegetables - we even had a lovely visit from the local horses in our neighbouring fields who came to see what all the fuss was about.

Thanks once again to everyone who came out to celebrate - we cannot wait to see all the special moments that we feel sure will happen at our Little Buds @ Bless Eco-Allotment in the coming weeks and months.
